The 2009 RL is a mid-size luxury sedan that offers all-weather handling and a wide array of technology features. For 2009, the Acura RL has been revised with a powerful engine, firm suspension and fresh styling. The four-door 2009 RL comes in three versions – Base RL, RL Technology Package and the RL Technology Package with CMBS. A standard 300-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 engine mated to a five-speed automatic transmission, powers the RL.

The Acura RL's cabin can accommodate five passengers. The interior has been carefully designed with wood trim, new steering wheel, new metallic accents and revised climate controls. The standard 10-speaker Bose surround-sound system provides good entertainment. The outside body sports new front and rear ends and bigger 18-inch (previous model had 17-inch) tires.
